Congratulations to the St. Joe's Pony Baseball, the 2008 11U Cincy Flames Summer Classic Champions.  Also Congratulations to the Runners-up, the Skiles Test Cobras from Indiana.  Both of these teams outlasted 44 other fantastic teams and played a great Championship game.

You can read about all of the tournament games at
www.travelballselect.com.

I would personally like to congratulate all of the players that played in the tournament, all the coaches, and all the families that put up with the nasty weather, and the changing conditions.  Sitting in the room on Friday afternoon, if you would have told me that every team would have played atleast 4 games I would have said you were crazy!

All of the 11U Cincy Flames parents were instrumental in helping me get this tournament completed, but I especially have to congratulate Ronnie Murphy and Jeff Burns.  Ronnie and Jeff somehow managed 6 games at a time, for 7 slots a day.    I would also like to thank all of the umpires, that moved games on a moments notice all through the rain delays and field changes, and the umpire Coordinator Ken Gallo, for somehow keeping it all straight.  Without these 3 guys, and many, many others, we could never have brought you this tournament.

Thank you, and I hope to see ALL of you on June 11,12, 13, and 14th next year!!

Matt Malott

Cincy Flames Baseball

The Cincy Flames Baseball Program is recognized as one of the premier youth baseball organizations in the country.  Founded in 1994 by Jay Basil, it has consistently delivered on its Mission Statement:

"To instill the integrity of the game of baseball into each player while helping them understand the greatness of the game. To allow each player to learn the many life lessons associated with the game of baseball. To guide and enhance the development needed to advance to the college or professional level.  To provide the best learning environment, the best competition, and the most fun the game of baseball has to offer to its participants."

The Flames Baseball Program welcomes players, parents and coaches who are committed to improve their skills, playing competitively, and supporting the Flames Mission as well as adhering to all rules and guidelines. It is a program for players and coaches to dramatically improve their skills through individual instruction, coach’s clinics, and by playing competitive teams throughout the country.

All Flames teams are Travel Teams that cover quite a wide geographic area. The 2008 Flames Baseball Program consists of 12 teams ages 8U to 18U. The Cincy Flames baseball program is very proud of their numerous accomplishments in their relatively short 12 years of existence.
